Your flights
Your international round-trip flight can be included in the price, booked via Kosmo Voyages — or you arrange your own (−€400 on the price).
When the flight is taken with us, the group arrives together and your times stay compatible with the program. The exact departure city is confirmed at booking.
Outbound. Arrival at Cairo International Airport on Friday 27 November. We welcome you and take you to Giza — allow 45 to 90 minutes depending on traffic.
Return. The journey ends in Aswan on Saturday 5 December. You take a domestic Aswan – Cairo flight — not included — then your international flight, timed after 5 pm.
When your ticket is issued
After your participation is approved, the contract is signed, and the booking is confirmed. Never before.
This is what protects you : no ticket is bought in your name, and no deposit is paid, before that step.
You leave from another city, or prefer to book yourself ?
That is planned. We deduct €400 from your price and you book your own flight. Two conditions : arrive in Cairo on 27 November during the day, and leave Cairo after 5 pm on 5 December.
Note this at booking.
The last-day flight
The domestic Aswan – Cairo flight on 5 December is not included. We will tell you which flight to book and the schedule to respect. Budget about €150 (indicative amount, to be confirmed).
Extending your stay
Possible, from Aswan or toward Abu Simbel. In that case your return flight is no longer covered by us and you arrange it freely. Tell us before your registration.
International departure city, airline and exact times : confirmed at booking with Kosmo Voyages. Domestic Aswan – Cairo flight : about €150 (indicative).

What these nine days ask of you
We prefer that you know this beforehand.
- Mornings start early. Karnak is visited around six. Philae, on the last day, leaves at seven. Other mornings begin before dawn.
- Day 4 includes six to six and a half hours of road, between Fayoum and Abydos. It is long. That is intentional : it is the price of a night in Abydos rather than an exhausting round trip.
- Four sessions last three to four hours, sitting or on the floor, with real emotional intensity.
- The days are full, even when the program pulls back from visits.
- You live as a group for nine days, including four nights on a boat of limited capacity.
This is not a journey of rest. This is a working journey, in a frame that protects that work.
What your body will have to do
Egyptian archaeological sites are not fitted out like European museums. Concretely :
- uneven ground, sand, irregular steps, no ramps ;
- access inside the Great Pyramid is by a low, narrow, sloping corridor ◇ ;
- Philae is reached by small boat, with boarding and landing to manage ;
- the grounding walk in Fayoum is in the desert ;
- late-November temperatures stay high during the day.
No formal age limit. The journey requires walking, climbing stairs, and handling heat and uneven ground. Reduced mobility is not excluded a priori — it is discussed before booking. If you cannot enter the pyramid or board the boat, an alternative is arranged with you.
If you have a doubt on a specific point — a knee, a back, claustrophobia, an ongoing treatment — write to us before booking. We will answer honestly, including if the answer is no.
Travel insurance is mandatory
No participant may travel with us without valid travel insurance.
It must cover at least : medical costs abroad, medical repatriation, and preferably cancellation and trip interruption. The policy must cover Egypt and a river cruise.
You must send us your certificate before departure, and no later than the date given at your confirmation. Without it, your participation cannot be maintained.
We do not sell insurance and do not recommend any particular insurer. Check that your policy covers the destination, the dates, and the nature of the trip.
Meals, health, visa, luggage
The stable points are below. Final operational detail (flights, lists) arrives with the travel pack after confirmation.
Meals
Program meals are included. Note diets and allergies in the dossier — we pass them to the travel organisation.
Health
This is neither a medical trip nor therapy. Classic Egypt precautions (hydration, digestion, sun). A focused health form follows after confirmation — not in the first public dossier.
Passport, visa and insurance
Visa and travel insurance are not included in the price. They are settled when booking flights / the travel file with Kosmo Voyages, or on your side if you book alone. Always check the rules for your nationality.
Climate and luggage
Late November – early December : mild to warm days, cooler evenings on the Nile. Pack layers, comfortable shoes for sites, sober clothing for sessions. Detailed list after confirmation.
Money and connectivity
Egyptian pound on site ; cards often accepted in larger places. Wifi variable on board. Customary tips : guidance in the travel pack.
Two constellations, and what they really are
If you have never taken part in a family constellation, here is what it is — without jargon.
It is group work that puts the relations of a family system into space. One person brings a question or a difficulty. Other participants are invited to represent members of their family, often without knowing anything about them. What then appears — positions, tensions, movements — shows dynamics the person was not conscious of.
It is not role-play. It is not a reenactment. And it is not family therapy.
Why twice ? The first, on day 2, opens : what prevents receiving. The second, on day 8, closes : what must be returned, and the place to reclaim.
What a constellation does not do
It does not replace psychological care. It does not heal a trauma. It establishes no historical truth about your family — what appears is a working image, not a fact.
Constellations are held by Guillaume and Cynthia. The precise frame is given after registration.
Two ceremonies in the journey
Two ceremonies in private spaces. We do not describe the sequence here : detail is given after registration.
Egypt is not a backdrop
The places we cross are protected archaeological sites, in a living country, with its people, rules and trades. Contemporary Egypt is not a prop for ancient Egypt.
We do not claim to transmit authentic Egyptian rites. What we offer is contemporary. Saying so clearly feels more respectful than the reverse.
- We respect the rules of each site and the guardians’ instructions, without exception.
- We do not touch reliefs and we leave no offering, object, or candle.
- We adapt our dress to the places we cross.
- We ask people’s consent before photographing them.
- Our group practices are held in private spaces, and never ostentatiously in a public place.
- We work with local guides, paid for their skill.
Photography and confidentiality
During sessions. No photography, no audio or video recording. Without exception.
What is said in the group stays in the group. Every participant commits to that.
Trip photographs. Outside sessions, photos of the journey may be taken (including by the team). They may be used to communicate about the trip. Image consent is signed after confirmation, with the other documents — not on the public site.
